Deimos is the smaller and outer of Mars’ two moons (the other being Phobos). It is named after Deimos, a figure representing dread in Greek Mythology. Its systematic designation is Mars II.
History
Again, this is a placeholder section for when somebody gets enough inspiration to go out and actually, you know, write something about the settlement of the Martian moons. --The Mgt
Places of Interest
Deimos contains the headquarters of the Mars Terraforming Project. The terraforming base is much less populated than Port Phobos, but has almost the same inhabitable volume; most of this open space is used to test growing conditions on the surface using imported Martian soil and air mixtures.
Deimos is also home to the Roadhouse, home base of World Watch One. Several projects involving music, engineering, and biomedical research take place at the Roadhouse.
The Clark Savage, Jr. Memorial Stadium and Music Complex, located near the Roadhouse, has been the preeminent live-music venue in Fenspace since it opened on August 1, 2012. Performers who've expressed satisfaction at playing the Savage Stadium include "Weird" Al Yankovic, Moby, Dethklok, and the Red Elvises.
