And I'm the evil madgirl with the death ray and the freakish ancestors - and the town full of minions - and the horde of Jagers - and the homicidal castle full of sycophantic evil geniuses and fun-sized hunter-killer monster clanks and goodness knows what else ... and you know what? I CAN WORK WITH THAT!

—Agatha Heterodyne, Girl Genius, May 4, 2009

Open Character / Evil Genius, created by Rob Kelk

One of the original Scott-series AIs built by Noah Scott and A.C. Peters, based on the lead character from Phil and Kaja Foligo's webcomic Girl Genius.

Awakened on the same day as Sora Hasegawa and Natsuko Aki, the three AIs quickly realized that their “father,” Noah Scott, liked Sora best. Natsuko and Agatha each took this poorly (in slightly different ways), and the two immediately left for Mars. They spent a few days on Starbase 1, incidentally solving the station’s computers’ spam problems while there, but decided that the Trekkie lifestyle was not for them. They went their separate ways - Natsuko to Helium, and Agatha to the Main Belt.

Over the years, she's become bitter and jealous of the other Stellvians, toiling in obscurity instead of receiving the fame and adulation that she thought were her due. This drove her to the Boskonians. She eventually met and partnered with Naoko Sato, and the two of them took over the remnants of La Mariposa's old organization after the end of Operation Great Justice. It was a match made in Heaven (or some other celestial plane); both had reason to dislike high-ranking members of Stellvia Corporation.

Agatha parted ways with Naoko before 2462 Nehalennia was raided, but after she built her second known "daughter," Quattro. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

Agatha nurses a grudge against Noah and A.C. because they're getting the fame that she thinks she deserves. She does what little she can (with her lack of time and resources) to counter their desires; she's gone as far as making changes to her own appearance because her "parents" wanted her to have the appearance she had when she awoke.

Agatha and the holographic Agatha Heterodyne aboard Yggdrasil are not yet aware of each other. If R. Agatha finds out about H. Agatha, she'll consider the hologram to be a pretender to her identity.[1]

Notes

  1. This Agatha awakened first; she does have a right to the name.
