To cut a long story short because it doesn't look like getting finished anytime soon. (Thank you google!)

A man named Stae Nor constructed a replica Zoid using 'wavium unknowingly received through the Mafia. The Mafia came calling and murdered him for the replica. Their plan was to take a catgirl and program her to be some sort of berserker, then put her in the cockpit, and set her lose somewhere in the US. Lots of death. Lots of destruction. And a surviving biomoded pilot brainwashed to spout things like Fenspace freedom and the like. Basic aim was to drive a rift between the US and Fenspace with a false-flag operation.

Local no-goodniks ruin the plan by thinking they can make some easy bank robbery cash on the side, which keys the local KSPD into the fact that the thing exists. KSPD handwavium crimes division (Ruth) requests help. Jet Jaguar is sent because FS doesn't assign a mundane anti-robbery mission a high priority, and Jet's a 'new name' for most of them. Jet and Ruth search for the missing droid. Discover a large amount of local missing-persons cases misidentified as 'fen-launches' One of the local cops is dirty and intentionally chose to cover them up.

The possibility that these individuals have been 'dissapearing' American Citizens rears it's head. Jet reports in and requests some help Benjamin Rhodes sends a device capable of disabling electronics on the zoid temporarily. Ben and Jet meet for the first time in person.

Local State Governor is worried about getting Washington involved. It might look bad in an election. Calling the Airforce in is an option to bomb the zoid into the ground if it can't be stopped.

Ruth discovers Stae Nor's body, and the construction apparatus for the zoid. Keeps it quiet to avoid alerting the real criminals that they're onto them. Raid on yard where the Zoid is stored. Goes well enough. Machine is zapped and shut down. Local PD take in the bad guys.

Zoid bolts off un-piloted. Zapper awakened the mind-transfer of Stae Nor within the core of the zoid. it runs willd through the mountains in a blind panic, trying to make sense of things. Race to get it shut down before the A10's are called in to shut it down. Stae Nor survives to be a witness at his own murder trial.

Interrogation of the criminals. Forced biomodding (Grievous assault), murder, aggrevated kidnapping. Many of them are looking at the Death Penalty. Jet and Ruth God-cop Bad-cop them with a promise that remaining in America is much better for them in the long run, than being extradited as an enemy combatant to Fenspace. Comment from Jet that promising thingss like would normally get their testimony thrown out of a European court. One of them spills the whole gory details of the plot.

Their face when they had no idea.... all Jet and Ruth thought they were doing was foiling a robbery.... and they had no idea this was being planned until the robberies begaan. The enemy is defeated solely because their underlings got stupid and greedy. News reports the truth.... or close to it.

Once again, America is safe. Jet gets noticed and tagged as a troubleshooter.
