Michael helped Wave Convoy and Shuko escape from Earth during the first handwavium crackdown in the United States. He (and his 'waved Subaru Outback) eventually ended up at Marsbase Sara with them and the rest of the core of the Gearheads faction.
Near the end of the Boskone War, Michael was killed in action while driving the Magic Bus; he was running medical supplies to a hospital ship when Boskonians rammed him amidships.
