50000 Quaoar (pronounced as if it was spelled "Kwawar") is a Sol system dwarf planet.

It was discovered by Chad Trujillo and Michael Brown on June 5, 2002, and is named after an alternate name of the Mission Indian mythological figure Chinigchinix.
